How to reach support, and what to include
There is one address and a person reads it. A message with the four details below usually gets an answer in one reply; a message saying "it does not work" turns into three.
Last updated
Write to support@inoxtv.com. Replies go out within 2 working days. Bug reports, feature requests, questions about a setting and complaints all use the same address. There is no separate tracker and no ticket form to fill in.
Four things to include
- Device and build. "Fire TV Stick 4K Max" or "Xiaomi Redmi Note 12", plus which InoxTV you installed — the television build or the phone build. Behaviour differs between them often enough that this is the first thing worth knowing.
- App version. Settings › About shows it. A fix may already have shipped.
- Playlist type. M3U from a URL, M3U from local storage, Xtream Codes, or Stalker Portal. Do not send the URL, the credentials or the MAC address — the type alone is what narrows the problem, and support does not need your account.
- What you did and what happened. The screen you were on, the button you pressed, and what appeared instead of what you expected. An exact error message, typed out, is worth several paragraphs of description. A photograph of the television works too.
Mistakes on these pages
The help centre describes an app that keeps changing, so parts of it go out of date: a step that no longer matches what is on screen, a label renamed in a later build, a setting that behaves differently on your device. Corrections are welcome and they are acted on. Every page carries a Report an error button below the article; it opens a message to support@inoxtv.com with the page address already filled in, so all that is left to write is what is wrong. If your device has no mail app for the button to hand off to, write to the same address and paste the address of the page from the browser.
Corrections do not need the four details above. The page and the sentence that is wrong are enough, and they are usually fixed the same week rather than answered.
Worth checking before writing
Several problems have a known cause and a page describing it, and looking there is faster than waiting two days. Buffering that started recently is usually the connection to your provider rather than a setting: buffering and stuttering works through it in order. A playlist that will not load has a short list of causes, nearly all of them fixable in a minute: a playlist that will not load. An empty programme guide is almost always a source that has no data for your channels: no TV guide data.
What support cannot do
Two requests arrive constantly and the answer to both is no, so it is fairer to say it here than in a reply.
We cannot supply a playlist, recommend a provider, or tell you where to find channels. InoxTV holds no list of services and we do not maintain one privately. Emails asking for a source get a link to the content disclaimer and nothing else. This is not evasiveness; the app is a player, and staying that way is deliberate.
We cannot fix your provider's stream. If a channel fails in InoxTV and also fails in another player on the same network, the stream or the account is the problem and only your provider can act on it. A channel that will not play describes how to tell the two apart in about a minute, which is worth doing before you write to either of us.
Notices and legal correspondence
Copyright notices have their own requirements and their own route: the copyright and takedown page lists what a notice must contain, and asks for Copyright notice at the start of the subject line so it skips the support queue. Questions about the terms of use or the privacy policy can go to the main address.
Feature requests
These are read and they do influence what gets built, so they are worth sending. Two things make one more likely to happen: describe the situation you are in rather than the control you want added, and say which device you are on. A request that turns out to need no new setting because an existing one covers it gets a reply pointing at that setting.
Some things are settled and will not be built regardless. Playlist discovery, bundled channels, sharing playlists between users. The about page lists those and why.
